Two dead and four including seven-month-old baby left injured after horror shooting near popular tourist Spanish resort
TWO people have died and four others including two children have been left seriously injured in a shooting near a popular Spanish resort.
The victims include a seven-month-old baby who has been rushed to a hospital intensive care unit.


The baby boy is reportedly in a “very serious” condition after being shot twice.
A second child, understood to be an 18-month-old girl, has also been rushed to the same intensive care unit at the Torrecardenas University Hospital.
It is the main public hospital in Almeria.
The seven-month-old is believed to be the son of the alleged gunman, ABC reported.
The children’s mother was also injured in the horror attack, according to local reports.
She was taken to the Poniente University Hospital in El Ejido.
A 60-year-old Moroccan man was also seriously injured after he was shot in the head, according to Lavoz del Sur.
The shocking incident unfolded on Monday night in El Canalillo, in the south-eastern province of Almeria.
The two dead victims are believed to be the alleged gunman’s parents, local media reported.
Both died at the scene from gunshot wounds.
After fleeing the scene last night, a 25-year-old man surrendered to police and was arrested on Tuesday morning, according to El Pais.
He has since been taken to hospital for a mental health evaluation, Ideal reported.
Emergency services were alerted to the shocking ordeal at 11.15pm, when the first two victims were found dead in a car, AS reported.
First responders were immediately sent to the scene including members of the Civil Guard’s elite Rapid Response Group.
The Civil Guard has launched an investigation into the shooting.
Officials have not yet commented on the case.
The area where the tragic incident unfolded is close to Almerimar, a popular tourist destination on the Costa de Almeria.
It is known for its sandy beaches and features one of Andalucia’s largest marinas.
