Sean O’Rourke was reported missing from his home in Cork on May 15
The search for a missing 48-year-old man has been stood down after the tragic discovery of a body.
Gardaí were appealing to the public for assistance in tracing the whereabouts of Sean O’Rourke (48), who was reported missing from his home in Bishopstown, Cork on Friday May 15, 2026.
Sean was described as being approximately 5 foot 9 inches in height and of a slim build with grey / blonde hair and blue eyes.
Gardaí believed he was travelling by car in a 161MH registered VW Golf estate.
In a tragic update, Gardaí say that following the discovery of a male body, the missing person appeal has been stood down.
Gardaí have thanked the public for their assistance.
